Haret Hraik tunnel is part of the Beirut rainwater drains planned by the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR).
The main characteristics of works are as follows
- Tunnel length: 1760 m ; Tunnel Section: 12.3 m2
- Two shafts: the main is 8 m diam. and 28 m depth.
The main shaft at the intersection between Haret Hraik Tunnel and Horj El Katil existing tunnels has been provided. The excavation has been executed in an alternation of sand and silty sand layers.
