The project involved  the study of construction works of the new multipurpose dock. The design of the new Catania Commercial Port is achieved by new quay structures and dredging (-15 m b.s.l.) of existing port  The works include the following: construction of a new pier; extension of the south jetty; excavation of the seabed; network of utilities and services , lighting system and the rainwater collection system. Crucial point of the designed dock in which both none reflective caissons and pile structure are present.
