The Objective of this assignment is to prepare a Detailed Project Report for providing Integrated Storm Water Drainage System for each of the 13 municipalities where USMID Program is being implemented by undertaking technical, financial, economic, environmental and social study and prepare prioritized capital investment plan, detailed designs, drawings, cost estimates and bidding documents for planning and implementation of proposed investments.
More specifically, the Objectives for the assignment in each Municipality are to:
- Provide a comprehensive description and mapping of the Municipality storm drain system (trunk and main drains only) including unlined channels and ditches;
- Update the Urban Base Map to show locations of public storm drains and facilities;
- Analyze rainfall data collected over a period of 25 years;
- Carryout a critical evaluation of the storm drainage and channel systems in order to identify existing and future deficiencies;
- Evaluate deficiencies in the existing storm drainage maintenance program including recommendations for improvement of existing drainage infrastructure to meet future requirements;
- Prepare Drainage Master Plan (DMP) for the Municipality with recommendations for appropriate Operation and Maintenance practices;
- Identify the environment and social impacts of the proposed plan and propose the mitigations costs;
- Identify the persons and properties that may be affected by the proposed plan once implemented.
